In addition, Aidance's EJC silver oxide was extensively reviewed and approved by the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency) for use in another germ-killing product (disinfectant). The EPA had to consider EJC’s ocular (eye) toxicity, dermal (skin) toxicity and oral (swallowing) toxicity. The EPA gave the EJC silver oxide its highest safety rating and qualified it as the only antimicrobial (germ killing compound) in the EPA's Food Quality Protection Act (listed as Sildate), meaning that it's ok if the silver oxide comes in contact with the food we eat. That's safe!

Toxicity studies conducted on the silver and oxygen in Tetrasil indicated that it is not toxic to eyes, mouth or skin and can even be ingested in small amounts without harm. This means Tetrasil should be safe for anyone to use on their skin and there is no worry if some of the cream gets in your eyes or mouth.

The table below summarizes the results of rigorous testing to determine the safety of the silver oxide, assuming its continuous and long-term exposure to human skin, eyes and mouth. All tests were performed at 30,000 parts-per-million, approximately five times the amount in Tetrasil. Testing was performed by an independent laboratory for submission to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which resulted in the EPA's approval of the silver oxide (named Sildate) as a disinfectant for use in swimming pools.

Category IV, shown in the below table, is the EPA's highest safety rating (lowest concern for toxicity). The EPA Fact Sheet (1996) on the silver oxide states, "Adequate product chemistry, efficacy, environmental fate, toxicology and ecological effects data have been submitted and reviewed. The available data support registration of an end-use product for use as a swimming pool water disinfectant. Adverse effects to human health are not anticipated from use of this product."

Jojoba Oil, beeswax and essential oils are listed in the International Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients and are considered very safe staples of the highest quality cosmetic products. What's more, studies have determined that ingestion of these ingredients in small amounts poses no health risk*. This is nice to know, because what you put on your skin can absorb into your bloodstream.

*You definitely would NOT want to swallow benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or several of the other ingredients typically found in anti-acne medications.

• Tetrasil is for topical (non-oral) use only. Use only as directed.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use on breasts if you are nursing.
• Discontinue use and consult a physician if condition worsens, if symptoms persist for more than ten days, if symptoms clear up and occur again within a few days, or if a rash or other allergic reaction develops.
• Direct sunlight, immediately after application on exposed skin, may cause cream to darken. Discoloration is not harmful and can be washed off with soap and water.
• Do not use in combination with other topical ointments, creams or topical medications without physician's approval.
